Chief Characters

23 Dezember by Michael Kellenter

From time to time I ask myself: What am I doing here? What´s my purpose? What I am supposed to do? What´s my role in this play?

And then I get hold of this image and look at it for a while.

Human and nature. Structure, life, light and shadow, motion and rigidness, quietness, wideness, and an uneven horizon. Just like my thoughts. My world is like my thoughts. There seems to be no "you" and "me", no "them". It´s all one. I am part of it. Nothing more. Nothing less. All together - well balanced and in perfect harmony - is fantastic, marvellous, incredible. Being seperated it´s nothing. Guess we are chief characters in that play called life. But a good play needs much more than just chief characters. We are not supposed to take control. But we are invited to be an important part of it.

Arjeplog / Swedish Lappland

Just a couple of miles south of the arctic circle. Minus 33° C (equals minus 27° F). The great wide nothing and the perfect everything.

what a side light...bringing out every detail of this crisp and icy surface...when have you been to this "cool" place?
