Leica goes sledding

13 Februar by Michael Kellenter

This is a piece of extreme Leica M6 self photography showing famous sled pilot Kellenter and his brave co-driver on a neck breaking and fearsome downhill drive. Again and again crawling up that steep snowy path in order to go for another best sled race made us forget everything around us and this is what we learned on that late winter afternoon somewhere in Austria:

  • We have nothing to fear but fear itself
  • Life can be fun if we just let it
  • Rationality is a self made party pooper
  • The shortest track is not necessarily the fastest
  • A snow wall is a snow wall is a snow wall
  • A Leica M6 held by an outstretched arm can bear a crash into a snow wall
